Production Planner Food Manufacturing Skelmersdale £28,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience) Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join a large blue chip business who specialise within the manufacturing of various food products. They are seeking an Production Planner to support the current FMCG manufacturing operation in the planning and scheduling of raw materials to ensure the smooth day to day running of a busy manufacturing site. The Candidate; Experience within a production planning role within a fresh produce / food production environment Food manufacturing experience Experienced in the end to end supply chain from customer order to material plan Methodically minded Strong English and Math’s skills Driven to succeed with a can-do attitude Excellent planning and organisational skills Numerically minded with a genuine enjoyment of excel and analysis Passionate about the food industry The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Competent decision making Duties and Responsibilities; Continually deliver and develop effective communication with customers, supply base, service providers and all departments within the business Be solely responsible for production planning across 2 food manufacturing factories Manage a cost effective operation Manage customer order and forecasts to ensure no shortages or out of life risk Work closely with operations to maximise efficiencies, plan for growth and utilise staff in the most cost effective way Asses current stock and allocate stock to sales orders Work closely with the departmental management to implement the daily production plan Support Senior Operations Manager with reliable and accurate information and analysis regarding departmental performance Participate in daily meetings, reporting and highlighting any areas of concern and recommendations for improvement If you have Production Planning experience and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply via the link.
