GWIM Sr. Operations Analyst

Job Description:

Enterprise Overview:

Provides technical and analytical support in a GWIM operations function for one or more product areas such as funds transfer, collateral mgt/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling and working with multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes. As a technical expert, acts as a unit advisor providing technical support to less experienced associates. This role typically requires 3+ years experience in operations functions and a thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products.

LOB Description:

The GWIM Senior Operations Analyst role with Cost Basis Support will function as a subject matter expert in all areas of cost basis and tax reporting. This role will be responsible for completing complex requests submitted by Front Line Units via New Service Gateway and email, managing project related work, managing New Service Gateway queues and requests, training of New Hire associates and contractors, procedure maintenance and assisting management in any other duties as assigned. A successful candidate will have extensive experience working with tax reporting statements, cost basis, corporate action research, versus purchase and date of death step up processing.

Required Skills:

  • Overtime may be required to support business needs, especially during Tax Season (Jan – Apr).

  • Positive and professional attitude in a team oriented fast paced work environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Be able to adhere to the industry and IRS rules and regulations

  • Experience in Tax Reporting Statements and Cost Basis 
  • Must be familiar with 1099-B's and Tax Reporting Statements
  • Proficient in Excel- Basic & Complex formulas 
  • Proficient working with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience within Wealth Management Operations
  • Experience in project management
  • Management experience / Experience managing work in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of rules and regulations, policies and standards ​
  • Ability to create and/or run macros
  • College Degree
