Comedor is currently seeking ambitious, creative, and driven line cooks to join our team!

Comedor is award-winning Chef Philip Speer’s modern Mexican restaurant in downtown Austin. Be part of a team, where you work directly with James Beard Nominated Chefs with impeccable craft and creativity.

At Comedor, you will gain knowledge and experience in nixtamal, fermentation, creating moles and salsas, and masa production. We are also very passionate about working closely with local farmers and makers to create a sustainable menu.

Responsibilities:

Daily preparation and production of food while maintaining a clean workspace.

Check freshness of foods and ingredients, ensure all recipes and portion use records are followed.

Open availability to work days, nights and weekends.

Flexibility and ability to gracefully handle last minute changes.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Foster a culture of cooperation and respect between coworkers.

Compensation $18 or more based on experience, plus $250 sign on bonus. Employee reviews and raises given after 6 months employment.
