Human Resource Generalist

Job Description

The human resources (HR) generalist is responsible for supporting the human resources

department with the day to day operations. This position provides operational support to

other human resource staff and administration of various human resources functions.

Essential Functions

• Reconcile monthly benefit invoices to payroll and employee records, and correct all

discrepancies;

• Process all benefits enrollment, terminations, changes and corrections to FFG payroll,

providers and within ADP WFN;

• Explain and interpret company insurance program to employees and dependents;

• Process leaves of absence accordingly;

• Administer and enforce HR policies and procedures and corporate policies and

procedures;

• Administer the company's workers' compensation program;

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws;

• Prepare Human Resource reports for unit management and Corporate;

• Assist in recruitment process and assist in recruiting all non-exempt employees;

• Coordinate and conduct open enrollment for company benefit programs;

• Process work injuries (IRT IRO)

• Conduct employee orientation training;

• Provide support to execute the company's strategic HR initiatives;

• Process onboarding for new hires (new hire packet, I9, WOTC etc.)

• Process terminations/resignations of salaried employees

Other Responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Assist employees with varies inquiries including employment verifications

• Knowledge of internal policies and procedures;

• General knowledge of HR law and practice, employee orientation;

• Competent to work independently within area of expertise;

• Take responsibility for a small subset of an HR project and works independently with

periodic feedback;

• Know and follow all safety requirements; strive to maintain a safe work environment;

• Effectively give and receive feedback; willingly ask questions and seek direction, as

needed;

• Must be able to function within a team environment;

• Perform detail-oriented tasks utilizing effective language and basic math skills.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard

office equipment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee frequently is required to sit and stand for long periods of time; and reach

with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time on-premise position. Days and hours of work are Monday through

Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires extended hours and occasional

weekend work.

Travel

Less than 10%

Required Education and Experience

Minimum of a High School degree/diploma

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically in Excel.

Experience with any HRIS System

Preferred Education and Experience

Associates degree in human resources or 2 years relevant experience.

Experience with ADP WFN
