Sales Specialist

The Sales Specialist is responsible for managing the daily activities and processes of the Sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between Sales, Purchasing & Customer Service departments
  • Oversee daily activities and processes of the Sales team
  • Monitor and Manage all National Brands Quarterly Rebates
  • Manage various projects- research, sourcing & AS 400 reporting
  • Monitor and manage inventory issues with customers, purchasing & various R3 departments
  • Process sample requests and provide follow up to customer accounts
  • Manage contract and special pricing requests
  • Create price proposals and quotes
  • Manage Account Receivables process and various financial aspects of assigned accounts
  • Acts as a liaison with the Sales Force at Customer Shows and/or Sales Meetings
  • Proactively assess customer satisfaction and present ideas for improving and/or expanding the R3 portfolio

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent work experience highly preferred
  • 2+ years' customer service experience
  • High level of maturity and confidence necessary to interact with sophisticated internal and external clients
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills with the ability to ensure that a high level of service and quality is maintained
  • Product knowledge with clear technical understanding of services to be able to effectively communicate to customer
  • Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding attention to detail, flexibility and creativity 
  • Persistence coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of shared information and/or assignments
  • Strong computer skills including - Power Point & Excel
