Job Summary: Support the goals of the Teacher Education Program as required by their accrediting body by coordinating data, the needs of P-12 partners, the Center for Teacher Education ( CTE ) faculty, and teacher candidates.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Director of Academic Assessment regarding data collection for accreditation
  • Data Management: coordinate the collection, aggregation, organization, and reporting of Center for Teacher Education (CTE) data, particularly as they relate to assessment and accreditation requirements.
  • Design, develop and establish user friendly, database driven processes that facilitate the distribution and use of learning performance and benchmark data to the university community and external reviewers.
  • Reporting: access and manage submissions to state and national assessment reporting sites and performance metric reporting systems.
  • Coordinate with CTE faculty, P-12 partners, and teacher candidates to determine and assess needs of all parties
  • Develop and coordinate partnership groups including ONU faculty, P-12 partners, alumni, and teacher candidates to update and create Teacher Education policies under the supervision of the Department Chair and Teacher Education Director
  • Develop and mediate changes to partnership Memorandums of Understandings
  • Using student schedules, secure placements for course-related field experiences and student teaching in P-12 schools for specific needs in fields based on criteria such as subject and diversity
  • Communicates field experience and student teaching policies to teacher candidates, mentor teachers, and new faculty
  • Conduct meetings with mentor teachers, supervisors, and candidates.
  • Maintain records of field experience hours for accreditation, and for faculty needs
  • Completion of a yearly report reflecting accomplishments of the year and recommendations for improvement
  • Field Supervision and Course Load as needed for the Center of Teacher Education; not to exceed one course load

Required Skills:

  • Excellent organization and communication
  • Proficiency in, or ability to quickly learn, Microsoft Office Products, Qualtrics, Taskstream, and other software used at ONU
  • Ability to perform moderately complex procedures using basic analytic ability
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of P-12 Teaching Experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with experience related to assessment and/or accreditation and/or continuous improvement
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, as evidenced by prior experience delivering presentations, collaborating with a diverse group of constituents with varying technological needs and knowledge levels.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with organizational technical staff personnel.
