SVP Marketing

We are looking for an experienced and accomplished marketing professional to lead our enterprise-wide Marketing department. This Senior Vice President (SVP) role will propel Segal’s brand and demand for our industry-leading consulting services. As a member of the Company’s Business Operations Leadership team, the SVP of Marketing will lead a high performing team of marketing, content, digital, and brand experts who help create and execute the firm’s Marketing strategy in support of Segal’s broader mission, vision, values, and business objectives.

  • Lead a high performing marketing team that effectively executes the firm’s business objectives.
  • Demonstrate operational excellence related to people management, budget, project management, resource allocation, etc.
  • Ensure high-quality marketing approaches, services, and execution - with a keen knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Understand Segal’s services and clients, including competitive intelligence.
  • Work with Segal’s Innovation Lab to propel the success of new services.
  • Provide support for key internal initiatives including senior leadership communications and HR campaigns.
  • Model integrity, collaboration, leadership, transparent communication, and expertise rigor.

Qualifications

Our Requirements…

  • Degree in Marketing or related field a plus
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in related roles, with specific experience working in a professional services, knowledge-based firm a plus
  • Performance in roles involving leadership of an organization’s marketing, public relations and thought leadership functions. Expertise with employee benefits and human resource consulting firms is highly desirable. Experience or familiarity with the Segal’s various client segments is preferable.
  • Proficiency in relevant marketing technology and digital resources (MarTech / MarCom) to support marketing and capabilities and activities.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment in leading or significantly influencing the direction of a marketing function, including the ability to “partner” with business unit leaders in developing and implementing “go-to-market” strategies and approaches to support sales and revenue growth objectives.
  • Effective leader and team motivator; intellectual curiosity; service-oriented (not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves and get close to the business); data-driven orientation with demonstrated experience in defining and implementing performance metrics and/or systems to monitor, analyze and evaluate the success of marketing and sales efforts; highly evolved interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and alliances to get things done.
