Job Overview

The IT Kronos Administrator is responsible for providing consultative, configuration and technical support of Kronos Workforce Dimensions solutions. This role is expected to analyze highly complex business requirements, design, and write technical specifications to design or redesign Kronos Dimensions. This position will also provide programing direction to IT Development Engineers and develop complex concepts and solutions, verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, proof of concepts, testing, and debugging of programs that integrate in and out of Kronos and other HCM applications. This position will also execute solution testing and the migration of platforms and applications into production, and develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures, and user guides.


Duties & Responsibilities
  • Leads workforce management integrations, implementations, modifications and upgrades of time and attendance initiatives including gathering and defining requirements, gap analysis, design, development, and support.
  • Translates technical specifications and business requirements into application code or configuration to build out Kronos Dimensions, including validating quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
  • Analyzes and provides coding direction to IT Development Engineers and develops highly complex original concepts and solutions. This includes programing data integrations within Kronos.
  • Analyzes basic data or facts to find patterns and organize results to enable informed decisions.
  • Key technical liaison between HR, IT, external vendors (SaaS and Service Providers), and other stakeholders for Kronos Dimensions design, implementation projects and support.
  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the Kronos Dimensions, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Provides intermediate-level knowledge of the core workforce management system- Kronos, Workforce Software, etc.- and supporting modules.
  • Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures, and user guides by developing training and documentation for teammates and end-user to increase efficiency and technical acumen, product/system knowledge.
  • Participates in Scrum events including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and Backlog Grooming and coaching team(s) to become self-organizing and self-managing.
  • Provides on-going support, maintenance activities, and other duties as determined by the team.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR and Payroll business users.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Certified in at least one workforce management software and related modules, with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience in Human Resources or Payroll systems configuration, development, and support.
  • Extensive HR systems, process, and project management experience required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time-management skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-tenant technology organization preferred
  • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong understanding of HR/IT infrastructure landscape, including SaaS systems and the interaction points between HRIS and IT
  • 2-3 Years of Agile Delivery in a Matrixed Organizational Structure
  • 1-3 Years of SDLC and CI/CD experience
  • Tools, Frameworks, and best practices
  • Strong Analytical and self-problem-solving abilities
  • Strong documentation/technical writing skills
  • Understands and enforces the design principles and best practices across the enterprise by leveraging COEs and Technical Partners where viable.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school
  • Experience in configuring Time Keeping solutions, preferably KRONOS
  • Experience with or integrations with SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.
