Systems Administrator

This Information Technology/Information Security Systems Administrator will be responsible for helping and resolving problems and requests related to information security within the IT department. This person will help to support and administer a mission critical, highly available, security and networking infrastructure and help ensure that all areas within the company maintain compliance with established security policies, procedures, detection, and regulatory requirements. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for handling day-to-day information technology (IT) operations, such as providing support for hardware devices and software packages, assisting with installation setups, and revising existing documentation guidelines.


  • Administration of Linux servers, Windows servers, and Windows desktop computers
  • Maintaining VMware, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain systems audit reports.
  • Enforcing security policies and managing access permissions.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and expanding Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS
  • Supervising systems backups
  • Setting up and scheduling audit reports on Kaseya
  • Provide timely support for end users and responding to help desk cases
  • Understand the HIPAA contingency plan and be able to execute key components independently

  • Must be experienced with virtualization of MS Windows and Linux systems on a VMware platform
  • Be proficient at Windows system administration and have basic knowledge of Linux systems
  • Capable of working effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, goal and detail oriented
  • Monitoring and reporting security incidents
  • Training on HIPAA and Information Security (may be provided internally)
  • Have experience configuring and maintaining Active Directory, Group Policies Objects, DNS and other MS server roles
  • Have experience in network setup and administration, and a solid understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols.
  • Have experience administering storage infrastructure; preferably iSCSI SAN and SMB/NFS NAS networks
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Customer facing professionalism
  • Minimum of two years experience in an IT-related role
  • Experience with desktop operating systems


  • Experience with systems administration, Information Security including HIPAA, Safe Harbor, etc.
  • Achieved Cisco CCNA or comparable certification
  • Experience with cloud storage
  • Experience with VPN services
  • Experience with HIPAA and other compliance standards.


Minimum of Associate’s degree in IT or a related field


The primary language of VIDA Diagnostics is English.
