Job Description:

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Programs, this person will be responsible for the execution of DoD programs with increasingly complex customer requirements
    While leading a completely cross-functional program team, he or she will have responsibility for ensuring customer expectations are met, while also meeting the fiscal and schedule needs of internal stakeholders.
    This person may also be responsible for directing program related efforts of less senior PM department team members.
    Project / Program Management
    With general oversight, leads a cross-functional team with the goal of execution of awarded VSAT contracts
    Work closely with International and US customer representatives to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
    Expected to meet financial and schedule commitments of assigned programs.
    Utilize program management best practices to ensure successful execution of programs.
    Define moderate to substantial improvement opportunities for the company and drive the implementation of these improvements.
    Provide technical direction on VSAT program-related engineering development efforts
    Be fully cognizant of contractual requirement implications for programs with support from the Contracts group
    Work closely with the Product Management group in support of program bids, quotations and proposals
    Lead the development of complex proposals that involve many internal departments & and major suppliers; engage in negotiating of programs & suppliers’ agreements
    Continue to assess programs for new business opportunities.
    Communicate seamlessly with all levels of internal management and customer management.
    Understand implications of programs status on business commitments and ensure timely & clear communication to senior management
    Customer Account Management
    In conjunction with the GCS and TCOM sales staff, build relationships with customers that can lead to future business opportunities
    Act as the primary point of contact for all post-sale and program execution customer interaction
    Maintain constant communication to ensure a healthy flow of programmatic information
    Support customer visits, including sales calls and equipment deliveries

    Basic Qualifications:

      Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or a graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
      Minimum 7 years of project leadership experience including overseeing design reviews, factory and customer acceptance testing, customer deliveries including installations and training and management reviews

      Preferred Qualifications:

        Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change
        Experience with communications products or networking equipment strongly preferred. Experience working with a technical product(s) required.
        Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software; ability to conduct internet research and effectively use email.
        Familiarity with MRP and CRM software programs important.
        Experience with International FMS and direct commercial required, US and DoD programs highly desired
        Ability to travel for extended periods at a time (25/5) internationally and domestically
        Experience with proposal planning, DoD programs and Government contracts


        Salary Range
        $82,000.00 - 141,000.00
