OBJECTIVES


The Business Continuity Management (BCM) Team is part of Global Cloud Services (GCS). The SAP Business Continuity framework enables us to respond and adapt rapidly to threats posed against our company. Within this framework, disaster recovery, IT Service Continuity and process continuity activities are triggered by the loss or absence of normal business process structures and are supported by situation intelligence and security activities. This allows us to prepare and protect our workforce and enable continuity in critical decision making. In our BCM team, we are looking for a professional to support activities in an assigned region. These activities will be done in close alignment with SAP’s corporate business units and cloud lines of business to continuously improve the security and compliance level for SAP and its customers globally. This individual is expected to have a high level of attention to detail, plus an interest in compliance & security management as well as auditing.

 

TASKS

- Conduct knowledge-sharing for internal stakeholders
- Support standard and related Policy Statements for Business Continuity
- Handle audit and customer requests as directed (e.g., local, regional, SOC, ISO)
- In preparation for audit cycle, contact critical IT system owners and initiate annual updates to continuity plans
- Review plans for completeness and accuracy
- Consolidate open findings from the SAP internal reviews before the external audit cycle begins
- Track and collect outstanding continuity plans and test evidences
- Follow-up on mitigations for audit findings
- Onboard IT System Owners and support with plan updates
- Conduct continuity governance tasks
- Be local Business Continuity Management team interface for assigned regional stakeholders (e.g., SAP business units & Cloud LoBs)
- Participate in regional crisis simulations / exercises to understand resilience capabilities
- Support process continuity plan template improvement and evolution to business continuity management tool


EDUCATION

- Some college; Bachelor degree preferred

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

- Ability and willingness to gain quickly a good understanding of Business Continuity as well as Disaster Recovery
- Very good communication skills
- Ability to withstand stress during critical situations
- English language must, further languages preferred
- Solution-oriented mentality
- Established SAP network or contacts with relevant stakeholder groups is a plus

 

WORKING EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 2 years working experience via internships or in similar role, in a multinational company preferred
- Multiple international assignments in previous jobs or as student desired.
