Inventory Control Specialist

Our company is currently seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and strong SAP knowledge. This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and will be responsible for managing and controlling inventory in relation to supply chain and customer service. The successful candidate must also investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

Essential Functions

  • Process purchase order and stock transfer receipts in SAP
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Assign warehouse locations for production and inbound materials
  • Count open locations in the warehouse
  • Track and count empty packages / containers
  • Create, review and distribute open purchase order report daily.
  • Create and distribute Inbound Report with a list of materials to be sampled to QC daily
  • Enter QC data to release material from quality inspection and goods issue direct shipments for Pulcra warehouses
  • Monitor Vendordocs inbox, follow up with vendors for missing COAs and provide necessary information to Pulcra QC
  • Review Buyer inbox in the afternoons and follow up with vendors as needed for purchased materials or any urgent issues
  • Occasionally print, complete and distribute shipping documents for outbound shipments
  • Occasionally goods issue and complete documentation for outbound orders
  • Assists during inventory related audits including cycle counting and physical inventory as required
  • Extensive knowledge of warehouse operation practices; and strong SAP experience regarding shipping, receiving and inventory management is required for this role

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office/warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Operations preferred
  • 5 or more years’ experience in inventory control
  • SAP experience a must
