IT Support Technician

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests relate to IT issues
  • Maintain computer systems and act as support if any system goes down
  • Responsible for PC’s, Printers and related equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc)
  • Maintain user PCs, including upgrades and configuration as needed
  • Assist with onboarding of new users
  • Install, configure, and upgrade PC software
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance over the phone or via a ticketing system
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues on Windows
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Triage and redirect issues and requests to the correct resource
  • Working with Active Directory and Office 365 on a daily basis
  • Participate in projects when required
  • Remote work [20%]
  • On-Site work when needed across several locations within a 20 mile radius [80%]

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an IT Help Desk environment
  • Fluent in English and Preferably Spanish proficiency
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills along with patience, a customer-friendly attitude and the ability to work in a team environment is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task is preferred
  • Experience with answering phone calls is preferred

Help Desk Support Specialist Skills

  • General awareness of computer systems, PC repair, and network management
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise
  • Ability to deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop
  • Understanding and appreciation for information security within systems and user devices
  • Strong drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, stakeholders, budget, and time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
