Bookkeeper Assistant

  • Files and maintains accounting records both paper and computer.
  • Compiles and creates reports as required by supervisor
  • Assists in the answering of phone and directing calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain spreadsheets in Excel, used for daily input of information and tracking purposes.
  • Reconciles all bank accounts monthly
  • Some accounts payable as needed.
  • Enter Deposits and Debits in corresponding bank accounts daily
  • Train on the other desks in the accounting department such as payroll and ability to do other jobs in the absence of others.
  • Interacts regularly with the supervisor and lead bookkeeper

Accounting Experience

  • 1 year or more experience in bookkeeping, filing and working in an accounting department.
  • Formal education a plus

Accounting Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Accounts payable, invoices and payroll experience a plus
  • Compiles and creates reports as required by supervisor
  • Assists in the answering of the phone system and transferring of calls as required
  • Intermediate level with Excel
  • Quickbooks experience a plus
