Position Information:
The Supervisor, Pathology supervises the internal coordination of Outreach operations. Acts as the primary internal contact for Outreach clients as it relates to billing issues, courier issues, ordering supplies, or retrieving reports beyond routine transfer of information. Proactively provides customer service. Works directly with the Outreach manager, other pathology lab sections and other WakeMed departments to address needs and resolve problems that are unique to Outreach clients. Coordinates the collection of Outreach statistical data including and prepares reports for the outreach manager, pathology managers and clients. Tracks client test utilization. Manages the Outreach client database. Trains internal staff, provides phone support for Outreach clients, provides some on-site training of Outreach clients. Ensures timely, effective communication with customers and required departments. Documents problems, errors, and inquiries. Coordinates operations, staffing, and budgetary administrative components with section manager/management. Provides after hours assistance as needed.

Experience Requirements:
5 Years Clinical - Medical Technologist Or Equivalent Required And Supervisory Preferred

Education Required:
Associate's Degree Medical Laboratory Technology Required - And Bachelor's Degree Life Science Or Medical Technology Preferred

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Board Certification in Area of Practice Required

Hours of Work:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends

Every 4th week
