Telemedicine at BJ’s Optical is a comprehensive eye health exam, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. An on-site technician pretest patients, and sets them up for the remote refractionist, and licensed optometrist, via live video conference. Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

    • Partner with a growing and exciting department and team at BJ’s Optical
    • Welcome Members at club entrances and answer optical related questions
    • Collect medical histories, and data entry from the patients, following all HIPAA guidelines
    • Conduct pretesting, i.e. auto refraction, glaucoma testing, and retinal topography
    • Facilitate the remote operation of optical equipment and live remote video conferencing
    • At completion of exam, escort the patients to the optical department and communicates the Doctor’s recommendations to the opticians
    • Promote patient awareness of Telemedicine eye exams
    • Opportunity to serve established Member base and provide a high level of customer service to new and existing Members
    • Maintain all club policies and procedures

Qualifications

    • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and an attention to detail required
    • Enthusiastic for patient satisfaction, customer service, and serving our Members
    • Entry level experience in a medical office or educational experience in medical studies a plus
    • Knowledge of optical products and business practices a plus
    • Proactive in the growth of Telemedicine
    • At least 18 years of age
