We are looking for a Display Development Engineer to help drive an LED based display project at the technology development stage. The successful candidate must possess a strong technical background in semiconductor optoelectronics with substantial hands-on experience in semiconductor device fabrication and characterization.Key Qualifications
  • Working knowledge and hands on experience in device fabrication of compound semiconductor optoelectronics:
  • Hands-on experiences with III-V semiconductor process and process tools
  • Hands-on experiences with various in-line metrology tools for process control
  • Hands-on experiences with various characterization tools for device testing and failure analysis
  • In-depth understanding of device physics and the operating mechanism of various device metrology and characterization methods
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools as applied to process development and yield improvement including SPC, design of experiments and statistical analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined and strong capability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately
  • Experience in optical and carrier transport modeling is a plus
DescriptionThis position requires Applied Physics or Electrical Engineering background (or equivalent) with profound understanding of semiconductor device physics; Strong early-stage R&D skills and a proven track record of related education and work experience in semiconductor optoelectronics is highly desired; Hands-on proficiency in semiconductor device fabrication is a must. LED fabrication in a semiconductor fab to support device design validation and performance evaluation. Interfacing with the design team, develop mask sets compatible with process flow to realize wafer level test vehicles. Determine the best techniques and the most effective process to achieve the desired outcome for the project goals. Design and conduct process development experiments, analyze results, and prepare reports to drive development activities. Identify risks, determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems, and drive mitigation plans to address the challenges. Support device characterization efforts including lab equipment control, data collection, and data analysis. Support the development and automation of various test equipment. Perform device characterization, analyze test data and provide feedback to the device design and fabrication team.Education & ExperienceThis position generally requires a PhD degree, or a Master degree with more than 5 years of experience in relevant industrial work environment.Additional Requirements
