Licensed Investment Assistant II

Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

Job Duties:

  • Maintain and enhance client relationships through strong customer service and communication skills
  • Support our Financial Advisors grow their business with prospecting, marketing, sales and service support
  • Schedule appointments with members and clients, including calling of both new and existing referrals
  • Provide office administrative support including close, maintain and service investment accounts, both electronic and paper, and ensure client documentation aligns with broker/dealer requirements
  • Provide miscellaneous office administrative support; Resolve operational problems, such as issues with statements and transactions, organize pipeline, track and troubleshoot deposits, transfers, etc.
  • Leverage CRM to maintain and organize the Financial Advisor's client records to ensure compliance with the requirements of all Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) and Insurance Agency (Agency) regulators
  • Assist with a variety of client engagement activities – including planning and executing successful client appreciation and education events,
  • Assist Financial Advisor in fulfilling a variety of client requests, such as trading, withdrawals, and preparing client review packages and presentations
  • Create workflow and processes and consistently leverage available tools and technology to ensure maximum efficiency

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in investment support, administration, or similar experience in a customer service role with an investment/wealth management company; 3+ years strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, both oral and written
  • Proficiency in preparing reports and charts for presentation to clients
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously with proven decision-making skills and sound judgment
  • Broad knowledge of investment products
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Raymond James software preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM software (such as Pega) and financial planning software
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma
  • Certification/License: Current Series 7, 63 FINRA licenses
