Accounting Supervisor - AP

  • Supervise accounts payable team members; Manages all daily tasks of AP Coordinators, ensuring completion and accuracy; Drives KPI adherence to Coordinators; Provides direction to issue resolution
  • Interacts with various internal departments and provides communication to senior leadership
  • Reviews and approves weekly payment runs, ensuring that procedures/processes are within vendor terms
  • Creates and leads testing with system changes
  • Orchestrates 1099 reporting and escheatment handling
  • Prepares accounting Sub Ledger and transfers to the General Ledger
  • Prepare monthly accruals and ensures that all expenses have been appropriately reported; Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Approves all documented accounts payable policies and procedures
  • Provides support and documentation to external auditors as required
  • Other duties as required and assigned

Requirements:


Education and Experience:

  • Two-year college degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounts payable; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of accounts payable software, procure to pay software and/or logistics or TMS software
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Proficient Excel skills required

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
