Software Contract Manager

The Software Contract Manager Function is responsible for:
  • Daily and long-term strategic management of software
The Software Contract Manager will work in conjunction with Enterprise Contract Managers, Procurement, Legal and IT Business Units in order to manage software renewals; planning, monitoring, and recording software license to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and entitlements; assists in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization; develops and implements process for tracking company assets to oversee quality control through the assets life cycles.

Responsibilities:
  • Drives ongoing process improvement initiatives to deliver increasing efficiency in asset management related processes.
  • Facilitate internal meetings with key stakeholders and process owners.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and lead hardware asset inventory weekly.
  • Monitor and report software usage
  • Perform audits internal/external and take corrective action if compliance issues arise.
  • Software Asset Inventory Management
  • SW order placement through approved vendors
  • Maintain contract attributes within USU License Management
Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects, develop budgets and secure cost savings through the creation and implementation of contract management strategies.
  • The position requires 5 years IT Software experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation, risk taking, critical thinking and organizational skills.
