Project Manager, PMO

Job Summary:

The Project Manager, Program Management Office (PMO) will support the successful execution of company strategic initiatives, including key brand launches and other critical enterprise programs. The candidate will maintain and manage projects as assigned including the stakeholder alignment, project kick-off, resource identification, interdependencies, collaboration, general project management and implementation of plans. Additionally, the Project Manager will be a liaison between cross-functional project team leads, executive sponsors and other key contributors to ensure progress against stated goals and objectives are achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the project management point of contact for brand and strategic initiatives projects
  • Successfully manage multiple projects across the enterprise in support of the long term strategic plan
  • Support all aspects of strategic project planning Brand or otherwise, including creating project plans, structured schedules, facilitating strategy sessions and project meetings and escalating risks and resource requirements
  • Maintain a working knowledge of goals for brand strategies, product categories and target customers in order to quickly assess relevant project requirements
  • Communicate and influence cross-functionally to plan, organize, facilitate and oversee the day-to-day operations for assigned initiatives
  • Manage workflow and priorities across assigned projects, ensuring timely communication, visibility to budget, project schedules, dependencies and potential risks to deliverables throughout the project management lifecycle
  • Inform leadership of emerging risks in a timely manner including proposed mitigation plans
  • Support project teams in maintaining documentation, supporting materials, project plans and decision logs
  • Ability to distill complicated and detailed project updates in to succinct yet transparent executive updates
  • Proactively look for opportunities to drive change and improve both process and project outcomes
  • Maintain an open and enthusiastic communication style with internal customers in order to facilitate a strong working atmosphere of customer focus, flexibility and responsiveness
  • Additional duties as assigned

Job Specifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
  • 5+ years of project/program management and/or business initiative management experience required
  • PMP, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma preferred
  • Experience in managing Retail or Consumer Package Goods (CPG) initiatives and end-to-end product development lifecycle preferred
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
