Lead MedTec Technician

Shearer Companies, partner of SEKO Logistics, is seeking to hire a Lead MedTec Technician for their Elkridge, MD location. The Lead MedTec Technician reports to the Operations Manager, MedTec Hub and is responsible for working in a warehouse environment with key medical equipment customers for the cleaning, availability, maintenance, and shipping of medical equipment as well as distributing daily work assignments amongst team members.

Additional duties and responsibilities:

  • Alerts and facilitates the coordination of the units needing preventive maintenance.
  • Cleans and maintains medical equipment; performs decontamination on medical equipment, where required by customer requirements.
  • Completes the necessary paperwork procedures associated with daily activities.
  • Conducts basic function testing of medical equipment, i.e. system power-ups; certain function test procedures involve the use of medical grade Air and Oxygen(O2) gasses.
  • Coordinates the repair schedule and provides updates to the Inventory Management System.
  • Ensures all units have their original bar codes and that bar code label is accurate and readable.
  • Ensures inbound units needing repair are placed in the proper area, and tagged with available info regarding the required repair.
  • Ensures that all ship dates are met and cycle counts are conducted, where required by customer requirements.
  • Ensures that units allocated are units used for orders.
  • Ensures warehouse technician check sheets are correct.
  • Facilitates and assists with trade show staging and training on site.
  • Facilitates physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and parts management.
  • Follows established shipping and receiving procedures per MedTec Warehouse standard operating procedures.
  • Provides preventive maintenance updates to the Inventory Management System, where required by customer requirements.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Organizes and coordinates daily work flow with team members.
  • Manage month end processes and reporting
  • Manage monthly and annual inventories as required including weekly cycle counts

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High school diploma or GED; mechanical training desirable
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months applicable experience or the equivalent experience and education
  • Ability to acquire TSA certification (required)
  • Ability to be courteous and establish and maintain effective relationships with both customers and associates
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently with minimal or sporadic direct supervision
  • Must be self-motivated and possess strong attention to detail
  • Up to date immunization for Hepatitis B and C
  • Ability to stand for six (6) to eight (8) hours a day
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push up to 450 pounds up ramps

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
