Benefits & Accounting Assistant

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, the Benefits & Accounting Assistant will provide administrative support of the day-to-day department operations.

Essential Functions

  • Process payrate changes with health insurance carriers
  • Update address changes with health insurance carriers
  • Download monthly health insurance invoices from the carrier websites in preparation for monthly reconciliation
  • Prepare files for entry into accounting system and upload to reconciliation system
  • Process health insurance payment entries into the accounting system
  • Link and/or file documents appropriately

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position, 8 – 10 hours per week. Schedule will be determined by the supervisor.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to maintain confidential information

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
