Housekeeping Supervisor

Assist in all phases of the housekeeping department responsibilities and operations in order to continuously conform to a high level of standards of cleanliness, orderliness and attractiveness

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in coaching and counseling employees in conjunction with Housekeeping Managers
  • Help conduct inspections of all resort areas
  • Daily control and inventory of all supplies
  • Assist with lost and found, help ensure that items are properly logged, returned to guest as needed and the lost and found cage is purged monthly
  • Inspect all arrivals as assigned- lodge and cottages
  • Inspect stay-overs for proper service
  • Complete proper inspection forms for staff and services
  • Random inspection of self inspectors rooms to verify standards are being met
  • Assist in daily/weekly paperwork for opening duties and scheduling of cottages, as needed
  • Inspect all hallways and guest areas to ensure proper standards of cleanliness are being met
  • Help with any ongoing training program
  • Communicate all problems and complaints with the Housekeeping management team/dispatcher
  • Communicate with the dispatcher any rooms/cottage issues
  • Know the proper mixture and usage of chemicals and ensure chemical area is kept neat and tidy
  • Ensure all storage areas are kept neat and tidy
  • Ensure equipment is maintained appropriately
  • Ensure carts and vans are properly stocked, clean and tidy
  • Call all work orders into the dispatcher
  • Assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Computer skills required
  • Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease
  • Rotate for the PM shift for additional oversight for department and public space, as needed
  • Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.
