Handlers/ Packagers (Evergreen) 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Second Shift Needed! $21.06 + Shift Diff. $1500 Sign-on Bonus! Quarterly Incentive Program!! Full Benefits on Day 1!

Intermediate level position; monitor the production process system to ensure proper operation. Inspect, check and document process production activities. Perform container preparation, bulk and non-bulk filling, shipping and receiving activities and other production and facility capacities as assigned. Ensure safety, quality of workmanship, efficiency and timeliness when performing the assigned work.


Assists assemblers with production related questions and follows up with Project Managers as necessary to clarify any work order questions.

Helps keep flow of builds in and out of production room.

Assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels by initiating personnel movement to match work flow.

Ensures completed builds are promptly removed from production area and delivered to QC area.

Scans work orders into the WO log as orders enter, move around or leave the production room.

Ensures all left over materials are properly labeled with item numbers and returned to raw materials inventory.

Assists in the setup and adjustment of the auto-labeling machine in production.

Trains assemblers on how to properly adjust the auto labeler and how to change the temp strips rolls.

Loads the ribbon, bags and labels files onto the auto bagger.

Trouble-shoots auto bagger as necessary when assemblers experience technical problems.

Must be available to pull orders when necessary following all established procedures for order pulling, (APPLE);

Helps keep track of Production Work Order (Batch record) as it travels thru the production room to Quality Control and back.

May perform duties and responsibilities of Assembler role as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

High School completion or equivalent (GED)

12+ months experience in assembly or production

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good leadership skills; ability to help others

Ability to pay strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

Ability to multi-task

Ability to communicate effectively with assemblers and order pickers

Must be physically able to move pallets with pallet jack

Must possess a strong sense of urgency

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel


Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, dust or gases. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May be exposed to both extreme heat and cold.

Required to stand and walk for a large part of the working day. Physical requirements include talking, hearing, bending/stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder height, crouching, kneeling, balancing and pushing/pulling. Also requires some lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Use of both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is expected to shut down the operation and notify management if an unsafe condition is observed or an instance of regulatory non-compliance that requires immediate attention arises. Regulatory requirements include, but are not limited to cGMPs, EPA, OSHA, DEA, DOT, and any other applicable local, governmental and company guidelines; and
* Meet minimum training requirements for RCRA Hazardous Waste Management (40 CFR 262.17(a)(7)) within 6 months of employment, and re-train as required by the Kentucky DEP and US EPA hazardous waste regulations.
