Desktop Support Technician (Contract)

We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance to our clients. To succeed in this role, you should have a problem-solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions. Be able to install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems. If you’re computer-savvy and enjoy supporting end users, we’d like to meet you.


  • Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking
  • Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals
  • Be able to ask targeted questions to diagnose problems and conduct remote troubleshooting
  • Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
  • Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Occasional lifting to 50 pounds


  • Proven work experience, minimum of 1 year, as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience (install and troubleshoot) with Windows OS/MS Office
  • Experience with Active Directory/DHCP/DNS
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Customer-oriented attitude
  • Associates Degree desired in IT related field
  • Comp TIA A+ Certification (Preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
