Job Description

Summary/objective

Impact Floors is searching for candidates who have the basic skills, competencies and desire to become a customer service professional This is an entry level customer service representative position in which the selected candidate would participate in a 90-day training course. If the candidate successfully meets the course objectives he or she will be offered a full time Customer Service Representative I position. Our Customer Service Representatives provide essential front-line support to our customers throughout the flooring or countertop lifecycle (request for bid to installation). To be successful in this role you need to have and develop the competencies listed below.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
  • Responds to caller’s general information requests and/or inquiries.
  • Takes accurate customer orders and follow through necessary process.
  • Processes installation and repair orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Enter Floor plans, pricing, and other customer information for new and existing accounts.
  • Provide timely response to request for information including returning all calls as quickly as possible.
  • Resolve or escalate customer issues, received via phone or email.
  • Exceed internal and external customer expectations for quality and service.
  • Responds to department email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Makes updates to orders in the system

  • MS office (MS word and excel) and PC fluency required

Physical demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Required education and experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-year of customer service experience required

Preferred education and experience

  • Flooring Industry experience a plus.
  • RFMS systems experience a plus.

Work authorization/security clearance requirements

Must be authorized to work anywhere in the United States.
