Azure Infrastructure Developer


Formulate and define scope of systems and objectives with an understanding of software and applications programming and industry requirements. Provide recommendations for developing or modifying applications, code, programs or databases, using research and fact-finding, ensuring that the delivered product meets the user's expectations. Operate from both a technical/programming perspective and a business point of view and communicate strategies and solutions with non-technical team members. Catch bugs in the software.
Analyzing business application requirements for functional areas such as finance, manufacturing, marketing or human resources
Writing code and testing and debugging software applications
Architecting and designing technical solutions to solve business challenges
Documenting software specifications and training users

Job Requirements:
  • Experienced cloud developer who can assist with enabling and automating the infrastructure that can fully leverage the Azure Cloud
  • Will work on a variety of projects at the forefront of cloud technology adoption
  • In order for applications to be cloud optimized they need to be architected correctly enabling them to reap the benefits of elasticity, horizontal scalability, automation and high availability. On the Azure platform services such as Azure App Services, Auto Scaling, SQL Managed Instances, Redis Cache, Containers to name just a few, provide opportunities to enable the applications to be migrated to the Azure cloud.
  • KPMG is looking for highly talented, hands on technical to help accelerate the growing needs of migrating to the cloud.
  • We are looking for hands on infrastructure automation developers/ cloud enabling who are passionate about:
    • Automation infrastructure development using ARM Templates, PowerShell, Biceps
    • Working with the technical leader along, development and infrastructure teams.
    • Advising and implementing Azure best practices
    • Working as an infrastructure specialist
    • Implementing DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment.
    • Good experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
  • Scripting skills (e.g. Power Shell, Bash, Biceps, ARM Templates)
  • Excellent programming abilities in common languages and frameworks, such as Java, C, C++, C#, Java Enterprise Edition/AJAX and Microsoft .NET (as required by the specific project)
  • Subject matter expert in required skill set with ability to apply concepts & lead others
  • Able to plan, lead, & organize complex deliverables that provide options for an organization to make decisions against
  • For emerging skill sets, years of experience may matter less than depth of knowledge & expertise but traditionally may have 10 or more years of experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science or management information systems
