Sr International Tax Analyst

Job Summary

TJX is seeking a Senior International Tax Analyst to join the corporate tax group. We are looking for a highly motivated individual and a great teammate who can grow with us as we expand in the US and abroad. The role will assist in the US international tax compliance and reporting process and will support the local tax reporting requirements of TJX’s foreign subsidiaries. The position will report to the Manager of International Tax and be a part of the 25+ person corporate tax department. The ideal candidate will have strong tax technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare/Review US informational returns for foreign entities (Forms 5471, 8858, 8865) to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with domestic tax law
  • Assist in the calculation and review of GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, E&P and other international tax computations for US reporting
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740,
  • Identify and calculate book/tax differences and reconcile tax account balances for foreign subsidiaries
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to review foreign income tax returns and other statutory reporting requirements
  • Assist with transfer pricing matters and other special projects
  • Assist with the preparation of responses to income tax audit queries for local foreign audits and for international components of IRS audits. Maintain audit documentation for current and future audits
  • Research tax issues and monitor changes in legislation to properly plan and respond to changes in tax laws
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and participate in the implementation of process improvements that will drive efficiencies in the tax organization

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related Business concentration. Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation and/or CPA license is a plus, but not required
  • 4+ years of corporate income tax experience with 2+ years of direct international tax experience at a multinational company or public accounting firm
  • US international tax technical skills and familiarity with international tax laws
  • Experience with accounting for income taxes under ASC 740
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and communication skills with an ability to interact cross-functionally
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clearly communicate results
  • Strong computer and technology skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision and Tax Return software
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management, or other ERP financial reporting systems
  • Experience with Checkpoint and BNA tax research
