Business Development Engineer


The Business Development Engineer w ill represent the company to key players in the industry and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective client expansion strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable growth while forging strong relationships with clients.


Help grow the business by identifying new markets, new customers, new business models and other tasks as defined by the management team.

Identify and help develop new market regions currently underserved by sales structure. Including working with new agents, opening new offices, recruiting local sales people, new sales channels, etc.

Visit top customers and develop a business plan to penetrate and develop new top customers. Collect and report on customer feedback on the company and products. Attend customer/client presentations and demonstrations as necessary.

Develop marketing and product release documents. Including preparation of competitive analysis, market opportunity, pricing and launch strategy.

Assist in developing quarterly group meeting reports as they relate to business development.

Attend and support all Amada Weld Tech Inc. trade shows, conferences, and symposia to increase brand awareness and industry thought-leader.

Work with the marketing team to develop marketing collateral to promote products and company capabilities (internal and external).

Provide a regular status report on major actions achieved.

Other projects and activities as assigned by management team.


Domestic and International travel as needed, estimated average one week per month. (25%)

When not traveling time is spent in Monrovia office.

Job Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business or a similar area desire. 

3-5 years' experience in product engineering or product marketing desire. 

Knowledge of Medical device, Automotive, Aerospace and/or Electronic manufacturing preferred.


Technical background - preferably with experience with laser and/or resistance welding equipment.

Excellent presentation skills to different internal and external stakeholders.

Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software a plus. 

Familiarity with IIoT, computer networking, databases, statistics, and AI/ML a plus  

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English - Spanish and/or Japanese a plus 

Ability to negotiate and dialogue with clients/customers.

Attention to detail and being flexible to handle multiple tasks independently.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Exceptional organization and time management skills to meet goals and set priorities.

Proven ability to meet deadlines while performing task accurately.

Ability to work under pressure and still be effective.

Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in all areas of responsibility.

Understands basic philosophy and participates fully in carrying out its mission.
