Bee's Beauty Bar + Spa is a luxury destination for routine beauty services, more importantly we are a self-care community that empowers women to feel confident and beautiful. Our spa is a tranquil space to relax and feel refreshed. We offer facials, massage, waxing, sugaring, makeup and lash services at our flagship location in Southfield, MI. We've grown tremendously since opening in 2017 and pride ourselves on customer service and professionalism. We are seeking a part-time Lead Receptionist that can connect with our core company values while bringing innovation and a fresh outlook to the brand. Clientele 60%

  • Greet clients
  • Answer multi-line phone system
  • Schedule clients
  • Check clients in and out
  • Manage a credit and cash POS system
  • Responsible for accurate invoicing and payment collection
  • Confirm clients appointments daily
  • Procedural opening and closing duties

Operational 40%

  • Report directly to Spa Manager
  • Assist with hiring and training Client Coordinators
  • Manage multiple email communication
  • Innovate, plan and execute Spa events to drive service sales
  • Ensure spa is clean, in good repair and merchandised to Bee’s Beauty Bar & Spa brand standard.
  • Maintain adequate and accurate retail and supply inventory for site operations.
  • Recognize and communicate opportunities for process improvement. Assist in planning and implementation of ongoing process improvements.
  • Achieve service standards and business results by being accountable for efficient and effective day-to-day operations. Assist with development of policies and procedures to accomplish these standards.
  • Take lead on the planning and implementation of marketing and community engagement events, ongoing management of spa engagement, and posts to Spa social media platforms.

Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make thoughtful business decisions
  • Ability to learn quickly and easily adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills (phone, email, in person and in front of groups)
  • Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Experience in the salon / spa / industry preferred and/or management
