Accounts Payable Clerk

Point Real Estate Management is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to add to our corporate team! This position will assist the PRM staff with their daily activities including data entry, check depositing, scanning, answering phone calls, preparing mailings, assisting with special projects, and responsible for accounts payable functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processes, records, verifies and pays invoices and expenses for real estate properties on a timely basis, and responds to vendor queries; data entry of invoices for payment.
  • Maintains, analyzes and reconciles accounts payable aging.
  • Develops and evaluates accounts payable policies and procedures, and ensures external and internal controls and policies are adhered to.
  • Prepares a variety of reports, analyzes data, identifies and recommends solutions. Processes, runs and uploads A/P records to the bank.
  • Process tenant billing and record cash receipts.
  • Assist Financial Accountants and other colleagues with miscellaneous projects and reporting.
  • Performs other office administrative duties including but not limited to assisting with ordering office supplies and other supplies/services.
  • Reviews vendor invoices and communicates with vendors regarding payment status.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
  • Enter and deposit rent checks

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to operate office machinery; including but not limited to: telephone, computer, copy machine, fax machine, scanner, printer, etc.
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Office setting, open cubicles, quiet to moderate noise levels.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Project Coordinator.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

· Strong attention to detail

· Solid math skills

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· High level of organization and time management skills

· Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize

· Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Minimum of one year of previous bookkeeping, accounting and/or financial experience preferred

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Associate degree in Accounting a plus
