Customer Service

Summary

Maintain a positive and proactive relationship with customers, vendors, and coworkers as well as assist various departments with clerical duties on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities included but are not limited to:

  • Receiving, entering, and monitoring customer orders. Tracking the progress of orders and coordinating with appropriate departments to provide accurate information to customers regarding order requests, open orders, shipping, and invoicing.
  • Greeting and accommodating visitors.
  • Handling dissatisfied customers in a polite, professional, and empathetic fashion.
  • Following up on customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Manage and organize filing systems. Document departmental processes and procedures, updating as necessary.
  • Understand the dynamics of all departments, how they impact each other, how they impact customers and act as a liaison between departments as needed.
  • Generate reports and prepare as required by management.
  • Verify necessary inventory is available to fulfill customer orders. Inform customers of any changes or delays to shipments.
  • Provide management with suggestions on new processes to improve customer support service.

Other duties as required or assigned.

This position will assist with backup as necessary or may be responsible for the following administrative functions:

  • Projects, reporting, or research for HR, Production, and Accounting.

Proficiencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required, as well as professional telephone manner and email etiquette.
  • Aptitude to be focused, highly organized, self-motivated, and self-directed by efficiently and effectively managing workload and assignments to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to navigate fluently within Microsoft tools, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and must be familiar with QuickBooks.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional data entry skills are necessary for success in this position.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma.
  • 2+ years of Customer Service in a manufacturing environment or other related experience.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
