Accounts Payable Administrator

The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to our Finance and Accounting department. This role will perform a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function including managing vendors, processing invoices, and issuing payments on a timely basis. This role will also ensure all financial processes are carried out accurately and in compliance with financial regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank accounts.
  • Process payments – including checks, wires, and ACH payments..
  • Process vendor invoices for payment in a timely basis, maintain and update vendor files, reconcile and resolve vendor statements.
  • Maintain vendors in current ERP as well as insuring W-9s and other documents are obtained and accurate for 1099s.
  • Filing payments/invoices in a timely manner for all Acciona North American entities.
  • Work with all departments to track invoices, help with coding information, and reconcile variances between purchase order receipts and vendor invoices.
  • Prepare simple reports for different departments and A/P Supervisor when needed.
  • Additional accounting duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements:

  • Requires an associate’s degree in accounting; bachelor’s preferred or equivalent experience
  • Requires minimum 2 years general accounting experience with an emphasis in accounts payable. Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner. Proficient in personal computer skills and widely used software packages, e.g. spreadsheets (Excel), and word processing (MS Word) as well as SAP, Peachtree, QuickBooks
