Under general supervision, the Anesthesia Department Coordinator is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks relating to the daily operational functions of LifeLinc’s anesthesia staff at Blount Memorial Hospital. The primary role of this position is to support the billing operation of the facility served.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • At least 2 years of experience with insurance verification preferred
  • At least 2 years of healthcare related experience and/or training required
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Filing and typing proficiency

May include any and/or all the following:

Standard Duties:

  • Scans, imports, and transmits necessary billing information to LifeLinc’s corporate office.
  • Verifies patient insurance to ensure claims are filed correctly
  • Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, and retrieving data.
  • Acts as a liaison between the corporate office and the clinical facility by disseminating necessary information to all anesthesia personnel to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Assists with developing and implementing new services, policies, and protocols.
  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems, and records meeting discussions.
  • Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed supplies; places and expedites orders for supplies; verifies receipt of supplies.
  • Follows HIPAA guidelines at all times
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as needed.

Location Specific:

  • Responsible for editing/correcting time punches, call codes, PTO balances, and reimbursements prior to payroll processing.
  • Sends any payroll related items to Payroll Administrator prior to processing.
  • Assists in supporting the chief CRNA to maintain anesthesia staff schedules and vacation (PTO) requests on an ongoing basis.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
