Human Resources Specialist

Position Summary
The Talent Resources Specialist provides support for all aspects of the Talent Resources function ensuring all activities, programs, processes, and procedures are aligned with the Bank’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
  • First line of contact for HR questions including employee/manager queries; policy/procedure questions and/or basic benefits questions.
  • Assist with the administration of processes and procedures, ensuring compliance to all Company, Local, State, and Federal guidelines.
  • HRIS data entry and maintenance of data integrity including administration of timekeeping programs and compilation of reports as needed.
  • Assist and support the annual employee review process.
  • Manage confidential HR files and maintain records appropriately.
  • Support the new hire processes and ensure successful on-boarding of employees including facilitating new hire orientation as well as support the exit process.
  • Continuously seek to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes and bring new ideas to the Talent team.
  • Partner with other Talent functions and teams as needed for support and project coordination.
  • Additional duties as needed.


  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws including EEOC, ADEA, ERISA, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA laws.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal and State laws.


  • Two to three years of Human Resources or relevant work experience.
  • Excellent PC skills.
  • Working knowledge of Google apps and products.

  • Presence, confidence, and communications skills that assure effective participation at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information and documentation.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
