Dispensary Supervisor

Position Overview

The Supervisor plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the store front and delivery. Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, create store policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. Maintain high store standards and conditions and foster a positive environment.

Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to excessively sit, stand, climb, push, pull, lift, carry, walk, bend for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently bend and/or twist at waist/knees/neck to and from seated position while working at workstation.
  • Ability to frequently use standard office equipment such as but not limited to computers, telephones, copiers, and scanners.
  • Ability to maintain long periods of mental alertness and attention to detail while setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up on assignments.
  • Ability to constantly perform sedentary work, spending extended periods of time at desk or workstation.
  • Ability to function in an environment with frequent interruptions and still deliver under high pressure deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Leadership & Human Resources

  • Maintaining employee passion and enthusiasm, building morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is encouraged and valued.
  • Empower staff through delegation of duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure a consistent and branded on-boarding experience for all new hires.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions with associates to review performance and provide constructive, timely feedback.
  • Oversee the bi-annual review process for all store employees; Identify and create action plans for all employees; Performance management
  • Attract, recruit, and retain a high performing team.
  • Oversee retail and delivery employee attendance, absence, tardiness.
  • Sales & Customer Service
  • Monitor monthly CRM database (POS) reporting. For the purpose of building relationships and personalizing future client development opportunities; Ensure the development, implementation, and execution of company CRM initiatives by providing action plans to the team.
  • Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the sales floor through customer engagement, ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided and annual mystery shop goals are met.
  • Set employee goals, including a target for the day.
  • Assist at any register when required.
  • Oversee coupon usage and that all discounts are being applied according to company policy and procedures.

Marketing & PR

  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate menu on the various platforms (Medithrive.com, Weed-maps).
  • Maintain familiarization with current and upcoming promotions and communicate to staff.
  • Represent the brand at community functions and meetings while maintaining professionalism and respect.
  • Promote brand awareness and capture competitive market share through community outreach and company sponsored events.
  • Ensure team members are educated on all aspects of our products and services.
  • Be aware of competitive pricing based on market conditions.
  • Work with senior management and sales/market resources to generate monthly/yearly promotion campaigns in order to maximize sales across all product categories.

Administrative & Facility Management

  • Manage all phases of the stores’ operations including but not limited to opening/closing and taking over of shifts.
  • Continually improving and implementing SOPs.
  • Regularly communicates with management and staff to discuss strengths, opportunities, and trends in business to maximize potential growth areas.

· Monitor and track teams time sheets -be able to coordinate the scheduling accordingly if a member calls out.

  • Think fast and fix it attitude.
  • Support and maintain visual merchandising standards including cleanliness; Ensure all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times.
  • Follow guidelines on music.
  • Monitor proper usage of equipment.

Legal & Industry Knowledge

  • Work directly with the Assistant Store Manager to oversee all team members are trained on all safety, security and compliance policies.
  • Proactively follow current industry trends and news, technology and analyze key competitors in the market.
  • Maintain all aspects of dispensary operation in strict compliance with the Department of Public Health, municipal, and state legal regulations and requirements, Regular review of company policy information and state law.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and industry events; review medical cannabis publications; establishing personal networks within the industry.

Financial

  • Responsible for the daily reconciliation of the cash management system.
  • Develop and implement business action plans in collaboration with senior management to enhance sales for each product category
  • Monitor and maintain labor cost percentage
  • Prepare daily sales forecast and reporting
  • maintain adequate change for cash drawers
  • Understand ROI in marketing programs, menu pricing, new store rollouts
  • Assist in monitoring the cost of operation and achieve desired sales margins, including partnering with finance to implement budgets and expenses when necessary.
