Job Title: Executive Assistant

Status: Full Time – Hourly – Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Assistant (EA) provides support in a one-on-one working relationship. The EA serves as the primary point of contact for the internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the office of the CEO. The EA also serves as a liaison to the Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, and executive team. The EA The EA organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts and oversees special projects. The EA serves as support staff to the Development Director for all fundraising efforts. The EA will work independently on projects from conception to completion and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters.

Shifts:

Monday – Friday, generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week.

· Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).

  • Ability to complete all required trainings within 60 days of employment, including but not limited to CPR, first aid, Living Our Cause, DCFS Mandated Report, IL Gateway Registry Modules and to maintain these certifications as current as outlined by regulations or requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong work tenure; 5-10 years experiences supporting C-level executives, preferable in a non-profit organization.
  • Experience and interest in internal and external communications, partnership development and fundraising.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel, Teams) as well as related platforms like Adobe.

Salary: Hourly Wage $16.00 - $18.00/hour commensurate with experience

Benefits: Family Use of Y Facility, Health, Dental, Life and Retirement when eligible (4% 7/1/2021-12-31-2021 with goal to return to 8% 1/1/2022)
