Line Cook/Prep Cook

We are looking for a prep/line cook to join our team in our restaurant. We need someone reliable who is a team player but can work well on their own. We are willing to train the right person to cook our homestyle menu items.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Skills

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook would be helpful but not necessary.
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures will be helpful
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks is a must
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices in sanitizing and cleanliness

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
