Project Manager


Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will manage multiple residential and commercial construction projects simultaneously for our company in the Greater Baton Rouge and South Louisiana Area. We are a high energy, fast paced, growing company looking for the best and brightest to join our growing construction team.

Position Functions

  • Setting up & Costing / Estimating Jobs and Potential Jobs. The costing and job setup will be reviewed by Management and serve as the basis for the actual construction budget when the work starts.
  • Supervising each assigned project from start, signing of contract, to finish, punch list completion and turnover of property / keys to client, ensuring the project is completed on time and within Management approved budget whether one project or multiple projects assigned.
  • Enforce all Quality Standards and Construction Standards.
  • Provides daily direction and supervision for contractors, sub-contractors, and tradesmen at the worksite.
  • Able to Effectively Negotiate and Manage Multiple Sub-Contractors during project execution as well during pre-construction to fit job setup and Sahene Standards.
  • Prepares material procurement quotes and construction documents / scopes for sub-contractor negotiations as well as internal planning / tracking.
  • Responsible for project job cost, scheduling, and budgets.
  • Ensure safe working conditions for the customer, trades, and employees.
  • Effectively communicate with the customer, management and sub-contractors pro-actively solving problems and addressing any scheduling issues.
  • Ability to Cost Projects and Estimate Project Schedules during Bidding Phase with Sales Team and perform initial project inspections in partnership with Sales & Marketing as required.
  • Submit Weekly Reports on all assigned projects to Company for use in Forecasting, Invoicing, and Payments.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

What makes you a good fit

  • Two to four years’ experience in project management.
  • Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
  • Skills in Microsoft office-Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Familiarity with Buildertrend a plus.
  • Very team orientation with high initiative, excellent communication, creative problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Experience in Customer Facing Role a Plus
  • Degree in Construction Management or Project Management Required

Please note the compensation range listed includes all compensation such as base pay, any allowances, and bonus / at risk pay.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
