LoveBug Probiotics, the top-rated probiotics brand on, is an exciting startup in a fast-growing category. Probiotics are the “good” gut bacteria we all need in our bodies; launched online just a year ago and now appearing on store shelves, LoveBug has products for adults as well as children and babies, with additional products in development. Our authentic, premium brand, with its playful identity, is differentiated from competitors through our four core values of science, technology, fun, and social impact. We are passionate about what we do and want to take our message nationwide and internationally.

This is an entrepreneurial position for someone who wants to help build a brand and establish LoveBug in nationwide retail. The person will be a key contributor in LoveBug’s overall consumer strategy to build upon our successful online launch as we expand distribution in a variety of brick-and-mortar channels. We believe that with our flexible approach, a self-starting sales professional has an opportunity to achieve meaningful personal as well as financial success.

Responsible for acquiring new accounts generating profitable revenues at LoveBug-managed accounts.


  • Penetrate non-brokered national and regional retail accounts for internal management, developing strong relationships with buyers. Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitable sales and meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Partner with and manage internal resources to optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Establish and manage the sales budget and annual plans.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Monitor competitive and category developments to become an expert in the field. Provide insight to LoveBug’s management and product development teams for new product ideas and customer response to various product introductions.
  • Manage all market related issues pertaining to orders as they arise (e.g: pricing deals/promotions, allowances, customer set-ups, credit holds, product changes, A/R Issues, Deductions/Returns).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and sales management in the consumer products industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills with the ability to interact and coordinate activities within a cross-functional team.
  • Skilled use of standard MS Office programs.
  • Ability to travel according to business needs.
  • Ability to manage customer P&Ls.
  • Self-motivated to achieve results.
  • Strategic and innovative thinker yet also pays attention to detail.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Able to help develop and optimize sales-related systems.
  • Dedication to maintaining electronic records in CRM database.
  • Ability to use (or adapt to) Google Apps.
  • Experience selling across channels including Natural channel.
  • VMS category experience a plus.

Base salary plus incentives based on business success; flexible schedule; negotiable benefits.
