Regional Sales Manager - Deer Park, TX

The Region al Sales Manager is responsible for focusing on the growth, development and good business practices in the Gulf Coast region. This position requires leadership for the sales teams and working collaboratively, across the organization to provide excellent customer service to the customers in the market.

Duties/Responsibilities of Position:

  • Increase average utilization and revenue
  • Lead, manage, grow and develop the sales team by helping them understand and implement best practices. Collaborate with operations, corporate teams and other regions to strengthen and leverage the operational and sales structures to support customer service
  • Review and approve RFP’s and large bid proposals
  • Review, approve and debrief event requests from the sales staff
  • Staff open positions or recommend additional staff to support increased revenue in the region
  • Develop major accounts in the region and work with the National Accounts Manager to broaden our market share in the gulf coast region

Experience/Education Required/Desired:

  • BA, BS and/or MBA preferred
  • 5 + years experience selling in the field
  • Additional 5+ years in sales management
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Prior experience with some type of customer relationship database or management tool

Special Considerations:

  • 65% travel within the gulf coast region from Texas to Oklahoma

Location of Position:

  • Position is located in Deer Park, Texas

What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements on this position?

  • Must have current/recent experience managing a group of direct industrial outside sales professionals over a multi-state area. A working manager that will travel extensively throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Good tenure is important to our company

What are the nice-to-have skills?

  • Oil and gas--midstream, downstream experience. Equipment rental experience.
