Cargo Signal was born out of the need to maintain visibility, security and quality within the shipping industry. An industry overdue for digital integration and sensor-based logistics is the solution to solve blind spots that arise in global supply chains.

Job Description

As a member of the Cargo Signal sales team you will be responsible for consulting with customers within an existing global network for sales opportunities, as well hunt for new accounts from outside of the network. The ideal candidate will be able to make effective discovery calls with prospects to identify existing supply chain challenges and, once uncovered, present Cargo Signal as a solution to these challenges. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate pipeline information to identify opportunities as they move toward conversion. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to driving revenue as a key component to achieving overall business goals.


  • Prospect, present and close business from existing and new customers
  • Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management tool
  • Collaborate with product team members to become a subject matter expert able to demonstrate real business value when implementing our new technology
  • Negotiate service contract terms and pricing with customers
  • Attend training and development sessions to develop sales, product and industry knowledge
  • Provide ongoing customer support to ensure product adoption and identify upsell opportunities
  • Meet and exceed all monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas

  • 3+ years sales experience with proven track record of success, preferably in an SaaS, B2B environment
  • A sales technologist who prides themselves in knowing our platforms inside and out as well as the competitive landscape
  • Exceptional in-person, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and develop lasting relationships
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, startup environment where self-motivated individuals succeed
  • Passion, drive and the desire to be part of a growing team that makes a difference for both the company and our customers
  • Comfortable conducting sales presentations and meetings with customers remotely via video conferencing
  • Experience building a business case and delivering return on investment
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, MS Dynamics or SAP
  • Familiarity with global supply chain and logistics is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
