Join our team as a Business Manager II! As the Business Manager II, you will be a critical part of the program operational team. You must be quality-driven, innovative, celebrate differences and have strong verbal and written communication skills. As the lead business manager of the agency, this position sets the level of professionalism and quality for our program business and compliance managers, is accountable for overseeing timely and accurate fiscal, quality, compliance, and data reporting activities for all programs within the agency including private funders, and local, state, and federal government entities. The successful candidate will have strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.


Qualifications


The Expertise We’re Looking For


  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or other organizational/corporation systems theory, master's degree preferred.
  • You have a minimum of 2-years of administrative experience.


The Skills and Assets You Bring, and More


  • You have minimum 5 years of experience with budget management, OMB and other city/government funding regulations.
  • You can demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
  • You can prove ability to work independently, effectively as an individual and part of the team.
  • You can demonstrate success in dealing with a variety of people, i.e., staff, senior management, clients, volunteers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • You have experience in fiscal compliance and internal cash disbursement control systems design and implementation.
  • You have experience in managing service-related information for tracking and reporting purposes, e.g., measurable outcomes data.
  • You can combine both big picture and detail orientated thinking.
  • You have good time management skills.
  • You have strong ability to represent the interests of the agency.
  • You can interact effectively with a diverse client base.
  • You can be comfortable building successful collaborative. relationships with staff, volunteers, and with community and resource building.
  • You have ability to handle confidential information.
  • You have knowledge of Non-Profit Principles and Ethics.
  • You have supervisory experience with strong skills in coaching, mentoring and policy and procedures development.
  • You have advanced computer skills, i.e., Windows, Microsoft Office, Access, HMIS, ETO, etc.
  • You have advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc., preferred.
  • You have ability to speak Spanish, preferred.

What you Deliver


  • You will act as a mentor to 3-4 program business managers within the agency ensuring their program responsibilities are completed professionally, accurately, and timely for agency and funders.
  • You will work closely with the Senior Vice President, Programs and the Vice President, Programs
  • You will provide ongoing data analytics and budget evaluations requested.
  • You will frequently interact with all other departments within the agency.
  • You will balance competing priorities and workflows to meet organizational objectives, manage critical timelines and perform duties in in accordance with Catholic Charities’ policies, regulations, and core values.
