Consumer Customer Service Represetnative

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for a CSR position for a large consumer goods company in NE Portland!

This person will be responsible for providing customer service support to consumers, sales representatives, and retail accounts. Qualified candidates should contact Express today at 503-254-1200!

60-90 day contract
$14-16/hr DOE

Essential Functions:

  • Respond to basic rep and customer inquiries via phone or email for retail accounts on order status, new account set up, return authorization request and product status.
  • Upload e-commerce orders into ERP system and trouble-shoot any problems.
  • Send out spare parts to consumers as requested within Leatherman guidelines.
  • Support e-commerce by responding to consumers using phone, mail, email, and/or chat function to assist with placing orders on the website, taking credit card information, providing order status, and processing returns.
  • Respond to questions and claims from consumers or warranty department. Research warranty exceptions to resolve problem and maintain information in LTG Warranty Database as well as customers’ databases as needed.
  • Work with sales and credit team on setting up of new non-key accounts, to include account set up, shipping instructions and labeling requirements.
  • Coordinate with Marketing team on customer Authorized Dealer applications. Enter data into spreadsheet for tracking. Follow up with rep or account for any missing information.
  • Obtain and process orders for non-key accounts which come in via fax or e-mail. Verify requested ship dates, ship to addresses, credit terms, item numbers, and pricing. Notify sales representative of back orders and anticipated ship dates.
  • Maintain an in depth knowledge of current Leatherman tools, accessories and LED LENSER lights as well as retired and new products.
  • Maintain records and files.
  • Cover front desk receptionist duties as needed.
  • Enter non-complex credits into ERP system.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience in consumer goods industry and have experience working front desk/Receptionist answering multi-call lines required.
  • Possess strong computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English and basic math required. Ability to speak Spanish or other non-English language preferred.
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers.
  • Possess negotiation skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Effectively problem solve, prioritize, and follow through on assignments and projects.
