Multi-Line Adjuster (Insurance-Workers Compensation-Claims)

Job Title: Multi-Line Adjuster

Reports to: Director of Operations

Position Summary: This is a field adjuster position responsible for investigating and evaluating a wide range of liability and property claims and communicating findings to self-insured and insurance company clients.

Essential Functions:

· Provide exceptional customer service skills to guide policyholders and claimants through the claims process, and to build productive long-term relationships with clients.

· Examine claim forms, insurance policies, and clients’ instructions to determine coverage and/or scope of assignment. Maintain company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations, company procedures, and industry best practices.

· Conduct field-based investigations of a wide range of liability and property claims. This may include, but is not limited to, auto liability, general liability, tort claim liability, truck liability, cargo, residential property, commercial property, and auto physical damage claims.

· Interview parties, witnesses, emergency personnel, employers, medical specialists and/or other relevant parties to obtain information needed to evaluate liability and/or damages. Obtain official reports including, but not limited to, fire department and police department reports. Recommend experts such as cause and origin specialists, engineers, economists, and accident reconstructionists.

· Identify and coordinate retention of relevant evidence and ensure that chain of custody is well documented.

· Identify and report questionable losses to clients. Identify and report financial recovery opportunities to clients.

· Analyze information gathered through investigation and report findings and recommendations to clients in narrative reports that include mounted and captioned photos.

· Recommend loss reserves at the request of client.

· As directed by client, and within settlement authority granted by client, negotiate fair and equitable settlements and obtain proper closing documents.

· Establish positive and productive relationships with co-workers, clients, policyholders, claimants, agents, repair facilities and others associated with the claims process.

· Maintain accurate records and handle administrative responsibilities associated with investigation and resolution of claim. Record and update status notes, maintain current diary, and adhere to company file documentation procedures.

Job Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience: Minimum two to five years of experience as an adjuster or related experience in a corresponding field.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Knowledge of construction materials and repair methods.

· Knowledge of automobile terminology and vehicle construction.

· Ability to investigate, evaluate, and negotiate auto liability and general liability and tort claim (including medical professional liability) claims.

· Attention to detail and accuracy.

· Possess outstanding customer service and conflict resolution skills.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Technologically savvy, able to navigate current computer and internet programs with speed and efficiency.

· Excellent organization skills which includes ability to multi-task and prioritize.

· Innovative, curious and willing to question the status quo.

· Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Must have a vehicle for field travel (mileage reimbursed at IRS rate), a valid driver’s license, and insurance.

· Ability to travel within assigned territory.

Demonstrated proficiency in:

· Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

· Xactimate (Preferred)

· CCC Pathways and Mitchells (Preferred)

· Adobe (Preferred)

· Ability to obtain Arizona Adjuster License

Working Conditions:

· Integrion Group maintains general office conditions with light to moderate physical demands. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.

· Property inspections require transport and set up of ladder, accessing roofs, crawl spaces, and working in fire damaged and water damaged property.

· Vehicle inspections require performing work in noisy (body shop) and/or dirty (salvage yard) environments, sometimes during adverse weather conditions.

· Employees of Integrion Group adhere to all safety rules and regulations including building security.

· Employees participate in ensuring safe and efficient operating conditions that safeguard employees and facilities.

· Integrion Group maintains a drug free environment; drug testing prior to employment as well as upon a work-related accident.

· Exposure to VDT screens.
