Capital Markets Loan Closing Manager

Position Summary:

The Loan Closing Manager will manage a team of Loan Closers and work hand in hand with Dominium’s Development team and financing partners to ensure accurate and timely details are provided to successfully close loans on our multi-family real estate deals.

The Loan Closing Manager will be joining a new and growing Capital Markets team tasked with streamlining the financing process while establishing consistency and maintaining strong, consistent communication with our lender and investor partners.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in initial call with both Internal team members and Borrower to gain an understanding of transaction
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all applicable loan policies and procedures both internally and required by Agency Guides.
  • Assist origination & underwriting in clearing stipulations required by loan committee or Agency program
  • Schedule loan closings, collect required information needed for closing from parties including Borrow, Bank, or Legal Team
  • Create Settlement Statements for closing and oversee the contribution of equity, loan disbursements, and third-party payments
  • Coordinate all aspects of loan closings, including providing outside counsel with timely receipt of required closing documents, work closely with counsel to prepare and review all necessary loan documents, review title and survey comments prepared by counsel and follow up if required, and obtain all necessary documentation for the completion of a closing statement as well as obtain backup documentation for the processing of an initial draw for construction transactions
  • Arrange loan fundings
  • Review and track all Lender and Investor commitments as applicable
  • Issue loan commitments and confirmations as applicable
  • Lead and coordinate staff training, conduct annual reviews and establish goals
  • Develop staffing plans
  • Coordinate all loan delivery packages
  • Communicate with construction and asset management team to deliver loan files

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will manage a team of 3-4


QUALIFICATIONS:
(Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Training, and Experience.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or commensurate industry experience
  • 5+ years experience in commercial real estate lending
  • 2 years of management experience
  • FHA/HUD experience or title experience strongly preferred
  • Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills (e.g. can conduct root cause analysis, make recommendations, and track results)
  • Strong written, oral, communication and presentation skills required (including comfort with Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Competent in project management and project management tools; has the ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills (listening and communication) characterized by effective interactions with a diverse range of internal and external constituents, stakeholders, and audiences.
