Strategic Account Executive

Position Scope: The Strategic Account Executive serves as the primary point of contact for accounts generating less than 12 Million dollars in revenue. This individual provides on-going customer and technical support, while strategically upselling the Trifecta portfolio through outstanding relationship management.

Position Purpose: Serve as the face of the company and support the day-to-day needs of their accounts. They are to accurately forecast revenues on a yearly and quarterly basis, as well as maintain tight relationships with key stakeholders. This position is incentivized on growth and maintenance.

Position Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end management of their assigned accounts.
  • Manage the expectations of every client within each of their accounts.
  • Manage all incoming inquiries by understanding the specific needs of the project and selling the appropriate service.
  • Work with Proposal and Contracts manager to ensure financial expectations of Trifecta and the client are met and proposal/contract is delivered on time.
  • Ensure that when disruptions/issues occur in service delivery that they work to resolve the situations quickly to win repeat business.
  • Maintain a database of contacts within each account.
  • Generate awareness throughout each account of Trifecta and all services by becoming the “brand ambassador”.
  • Schedule quarterly JOC meetings (as required) to ensure communication lines are open throughout the organizations.
  • Engage Trifecta Business Development when they uncover a new opportunity through the Enterprise Account (if required)
  • De-brief with Trifecta Business Development quarterly so that high level relationships can be maintained. (if required)
  • Work with Trifecta Accounting to generate quarterly financials for delivery to their accounts and review internally for pricing and strategy decisions.

Reports to: VP, Business Development

Works Closely with: Clients, all internal project teams, proposals and contracts, and business development.

Required Experience, Education, Abilities and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2 years Account Management/Business Development experience as a vendor to CRO or Pharmaceutical companies
  • Ability to manage budgets, execute strategies, and drive customer interactions
  • Ability to prioritize workload, adapt to changing conditions and priorities and clearly communicate throughout the organization.
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Publisher etc.
  • Ability to analyze customer requests and draw relevant conclusions and propose business solutions to support complex strategies.
  • Ability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
