Mortgage Originator Assistant

This position acts as the main facilitator for communications between the Mortgage Advisor and sourcing agents, customers, and vendors. The Mortgage Originator Assistant prepares the loan file for processing, follows up on application details not fulfilled, communicates with all parties of the transaction, and obtains needed conditions directly from the borrower.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Initiates required verifications for customers.
  • Assists with handling sales and marketing promotions.
  • Initiates customer follow up calls.
  • Maintains a past and present customer database and track new sales growth.
  • Reviews customer paperwork, issue pre-approvals and generate disclosure packages.
  • Maintains the Mortgage Originators’ customer information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Locks loans, orders appraisals, requests title, and sends files to processing team.
  • Works closely with processing team to solve various loan-related issues.
  • Exhibits observable sense of urgency in the execution of all job functions and duties.
  • Meets or exceeds levels of Customer Service delivery established by the Company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION - REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma

EDUCATION - PREFERRED

  • BA - Bachelor of Arts

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • One year experience as loan coordinator/processor preferred but not required
  • Prior experience working with automated Loan Origination Systems
  • Ability to manage a pipeline and communicate effectively with clients throughout the loan process
  • NMLS license to originate is a plus but not a requirement. If the Mortgage Originator Assistant does not have a NMLS license to originate he/she may not engage in any licensable activities including discussing rates with borrowers, taking applications, etc.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic detail oriented environment
  • Knowledge of state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations
