Project Manager (Risk, Infrastructure, Governance)

Position: Technical Project Manager (GRC)
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Seattle, WA

Job Description:
Manages the information technology department in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Ensures proper functioning of company's information processing system and makes upgrades as necessary. Helps business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency. Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs. Follows appropriate programming procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

  • Manage the roadmap of strategic initiatives, enterprise projects and delivery of architecture as a service in support of the enterprise architecture strategy
  • Manage a cross-enterprise program to ensure that the proper technical capabilities exists to support the businesses and can sustain required security, availability, reliability and resiliency levels
  • Liaison between Enterprise Architecture and its parent department, ensuring that all programs, projects and milestones are tracked and reported correctly into the broader management framework
  • Hands-on management of selected high-priority projects and programs
  • Engage with various internal teams and 3rd Party vendors regarding schedules and deliverables
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed project schedules, risk & issue logs, status reports (at both the project and program level) and dependency management where appropriate
  • Ensure that the team web site is kept up to date with all documentation
  • Assist with the development and improvement of standardized processes around project management
  • Third party point of contact ensuring quality of all project deliverables
  • Ensure effective and proactive communications to producers and project stakeholders
  • Escalate all unresolved project and personnel issues to the appropriate managers
  • Provide leadership in developing business requirements and scope statements defining project and program deliverables
  • Ensure that milestones are achieved on-time, on-budget and in scope by dealing with or escalating issues with sufficient time for course correction
  • Develop and monitor risk, contingency plans and change control process’
  • Prepare for, lead and participate in project and program meetings
  • Determine and document project successes and lessons learned
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about technology & industry trends


  • The candidate must have a solid track record of managing complex and high profile projects and programs in information technology, internet or entertainment and media companies
  • The candidate must have proven experience in working in a matrix environment and managing multiple stakeholders which at times have competition
  • Strong skills and experience in project and program management required, including but not limited to:

o Managing high profile, multi-team, company-wide and complex programs
o Managing high profile projects within a program environment
o Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies and the ability to work with teams that utilize both to deliver project and program deliverable
o Producing requirements & specification documents
o Developing and coordinating processes around project management, issue prioritization, and project prioritization
o Hands-on experience in managing complex technology projects
o Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (creative, technology, producers, etc.)
o Effective at building relationships across all parts of business and technology
